No longer in use of Kanye West's styling skills, which saw Kim Kardashian tossing her Hervé Léger bandage dresses and over-the-top, attention-grabbing outfits in place of body-con neutrals, Kim's latest Twitter posts are showing a new side of her style. Instead of latex getups and coordinating, connected gloves, Kardashian showed off a motocross-ready top paired with dad-approved cargo pants.
Kardashian's snapshots show the outfit from a range of angles, giving plenty of opportunities to soak up every detail, from the knit top's strategic panels, which mimic padded safety tops worn by X Games pros, to her decidedly not-sporty ankle stilettos. In the photos, she's standing in front of a rack of Skims and shows off her signature long waves with the new dystopian apocalypse-ready, sporty style. She also shared the shots on Instagram.
Another post showed the outfit in action, with Kardashian throwing hands and walking outside by a fleet of cars.
The new 'fit doesn't skip over Kardashian's signature sexy style, however. Even though West isn't cleaning out her closet anymore, Kardashian's still wearing revealing ensembles, including strappy bathing suits that are more cutouts than coverage, strappy shoes and short latex, Vivienne Westwood gowns, and bustiers.
"I always thought I had really good style — until I met my husband and he told me that I had the worst style," Kardashian famously said during a 2018 panel hosted by Business of Fashion. "He was really nice about it and cleaned out my whole closet."
Kardashian's latest posts also come after news that she'd be getting a new reality show focused on her divorce. It's unclear what West's involvement may be (if any), but Kardashian's outfits may be a sign that she's ready to move on from her Kanye West era, clothes and all.
